West Midlands Secure Data Environment Industry Breakfast

Join us during Life Sciences Week for the West Midlands Secure Data Environment (WM SDE) Industry Breakfast, bringing together colleagues from across life sciences, health tech, research and the wider health and care sector.

The West Midlands SDE provides approved researchers with secure access to health and care data to support research and innovation with clear public benefit.

This breakfast event is an opportunity to discover more about the data, capabilities and expertise available through the WM SDE, understand how industry partners can work with us, and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

During the morning, attendees will hear about the journey from an initial research question through to developing a project, see a practical example of the WM SDE working with industry, and have the opportunity to discuss data access, governance and working within a Trusted Research Environment.

We’ll also explore the important role patients and the public play in health data research, and how trust, transparency and public benefit are embedded within the WM SDE approach.

There will be plenty of time for networking and informal conversations with the WM SDE team and fellow attendees, giving you the opportunity to discuss your own research questions, challenges and ideas.

Whether you’re already active in the West Midlands or are interested in discovering what the region can offer, we’d be delighted to welcome you.
