Digital surgery is transforming the future of healthcare. Artificial intelligence, surgical robotics, computer vision and intelligent operating theatres are reshaping how surgical procedures are planned, performed, taught and evaluated. Surgigogy Ltd is hosting an interactive workshop that will provide clinicians, researchers, engineers, educators, MedTech innovators and life sciences professionals with an accessible introduction to the rapidly evolving field of digital surgery, alongside the opportunity to experience cutting-edge AI technology through a hands-on demonstration of an innovative Surgical Task Analysis platform.
Who should attend?
This workshop is designed for clinicians, researchers, engineers, educators, MedTech innovators, AI developers, students, and life sciences professionals who want to understand how digital technologies are transforming surgery. No prior knowledge of surgery or artificial intelligence is required.
Workshop aims
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
- Understand the key technologies driving digital surgery, including AI, robotics, computer vision and digital operating theatres.
- Explore how digital technologies are being applied across the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative patient pathway.
- Discover how AI-powered Surgical Task Analysis can support education, simulation, clinical research, process improvement and medical technology development.
- Gain practical, hands-on experience using an innovative AI platform that can be applied within their own organisation.
Session 1 – The Digital Surgery Landscape | 2:00–3:00 PM
14:00 Presentation – 40 minutes
Explore how artificial intelligence, surgical robotics, computer vision, digital operating theatres and data-driven technologies are transforming surgery. The presentation will consider innovation across the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative pathway, highlighting emerging applications and opportunities for healthcare, surgical research and MedTech.
14:40 Group Discussion – 20 minutes
Participants will discuss the opportunities, challenges and priorities for digital surgery, drawing on their own professional, clinical, academic and industry perspectives. The discussion will explore where digital technologies could have the greatest impact and what barriers need to be addressed.
Session 2 – Hands-On AI Surgical Task Analysis | 3:00–4:00 PM
Experience a live demonstration of an AI-powered Surgical Task Analysis platform, followed by a guided hands-on workshop. Participants will explore how AI-supported task analysis can map and develop consensus around surgical workflows, with applications in education and training, simulation, research, clinical trials, MedTech development and process improvement.
Participants will receive a complimentary 30-day trial of the platform, enabling them to continue exploring its potential after the workshop.
